Claw

An idiom describing a specific Method of Execution which utilizes one or more contact points with the end result of ripping, tearing, gouging, or scratching the target surface - while the contact points maintain a relatively parallel, and side-by-side Path of Execution across the target surface.

Inflected Form(s):

Clawing (adjective), Claws (plural), Clawed (past tense)

Comments:

Claws differ from rakes, in that claws are typically linear strike.

Claws differ from pokes in that a claw's Path of Execution and Angle of Contact are relatively parallel to the target surface.

Claws differ from slices in that a claw's Path of Execution follows the length of the employed weapon.

Claws are executed using the tip(s) of a weapon.

Claws are generally executed such that the tip(s) of the weapon are delivered in a parallel fashion, rather than in a series.

Claws require at least a Surface Contact range of depth.

Natural Weapon claws flow naturally from Heel-Palm strikes and visa versa.

Natural Weapon claws utilize the finger tip(s) and should not employ the fingernails. The fingernails can easily be caught in the target surface substrate and can be damaged, broken, or pulled off of the finger.

Example(s):

Immediately after executing a Heel-Palm strike to the opponent's face, dragging the finger tips downward across the face would demonstrate a claw.
