Rake

An idiom describing a specific Method of Execution which utilizes one or more contact points of the weapon being used - while the contact points maintain a relatively in-line Path of Execution across the target surface.

Inflected Forms(s):

Raking (adjective), Rakes (plural), Raked (past tense)

Comments:

Raking can be effected using Natural Weapons or Man-Made Weapons.

See rake in basics for more information on a natural rake.

Rakes are most commonly executed using the tip(s) of a weapon, but that is not a requirement.

Rakes are executed such that the contact point(s) of the weapon are delivered in an in-line fashion, rather than in parallel (see claw).

Rakes require at least a Surface Contact range of depth.

The ways a rake differs from a slice are:

1)The penetrating force of the strike is greater

2)The weapon has more than one contact point against the target

A rake is typically executed by increasing the depth of a circular path of action.

Rakes are not limited to just the tip(s) of the weapon, but can emply any protruding surfaces.
