Rake

The execution of a weapon in a circular Path of Travel, such that the contact points of the weapon intend to gouge as they contour the surface of the target.

Inflected Form(s):

Raking (adjective), Rakes (plural), Raked (past tense)

Comments:

A rake is typically a major move.

The ways a rake differs from a slice are:

1)The penetrating force of the strike is greater

2)The weapon has more than one contact point against the target

A rake is typically executed by increasing the depth of a circular Path of Action.

Rakes are generally executed such that the tip(s) of the weapon are delivered in series, rather than in a parallel fashion (see claw).

Rakes require at least a Surface Contact range of depth.
