Opening the Line refers to the (re)positioning of the arms and legs for the expressed purpose of exposing Lines of Attack to targets. Usually, this refers to some form of clearing of weapons, but does not expressly exclude the repositioning of the body, along with the arms and legs.
Opening the Gate can be used as a tactic to deceive the opponent into a false confidence.
Open the Line differs from Open the Gate, in that Open the Line typically refers to repositioning of the arms and legs. |
