Protective Measure

 

An idiom referring to weapons that are at the ready to back-up currently active maneuvers.

 

Comments:

 

This term is mainly used as an encouragement to describe a good practice; and a reminder to maintain Weapon Availability as much as possible.

 

The Protective Measure(s) is/are most typically used as positioned covers, positioned checks, or positioned blocks prior to their engagement, but this is not a requirement.

 

The Protective Measure(s) is/are more generally the rear weapon(s) in the engagement, but this is not a requirement.
