Area Cover

An idiom describing a distinct type of cover - a cover which when employed, protects a wide region.

Comments:

 

Area Covers have the advantage of protecting wide regions of your body at one time, and usually have no disadvantages.

 

The type of weapon and/or positioning of a weapon greatly effects the amount of area that a cover can protect.

 

Area Covers are usually easier to create using the front limbs and/or weapons.

 

Anchoring is a common method of creating an Area Cover and demonstrates how an Area Cover can be created simultaneously with, or as an after effect of the execution a strike.

Example(s):

 

A cover using the entire forearm positioned vertically in front of your body demonstrates an Area Cover.
