Long Range is not limited to a forward Point of Reference, but can be utilized at any angle or direction around the practitioner.
Long Range typically excludes Man-made or Environmental weapon ranges and only includes Natural Weaponranges. With today's technology and warfare capabilities, almost any conceivable range is possible with Man-made Weapons, and as such, is excluded from this definition.
Advantages of Long Range: a.the opponent is kept at a distance, potentially minimizing Target Availability b.a larger practitioner is able to keep a smaller opponent within his/her range, but out of the opponent's range c.allows for easier mobility d.allows the practitioner to stay out of the opponent's contact - keeping the practitioner's weapons from being checked or jammed e.allows for easier use of the Environment and Environmental Objects f.allows for easier reading of and reaction to an opponent's offensive and defensive moves
Disadvantages of Long Range: a.Each of the advantages could just as easily be used against you b.The advantages of Short Range are minimized |
