Something is said to be obscure if it can't be seen or detected by the practitioner.
These areas include anything beyond normal vision, Peripheral Vision, areas that are blocked within the normal Field of View, or areas that cannot be detected by the other senses.
The use of obscure areas is a valuable asset, because moves can often be completed totally unseen and unchecked by the opponent. These moves often incorporate deceptive Angles of Execution.
An obscure move is always angular, but an angular move is not always obscure.
To remove from Line of Sight. |
