A specialize method of a checking and contouring created by applying pressure against an opposing surface, using a path of action that parallels the opposing surface, with the intent to nullify the delivery of an opponent's weapon(s).
A pressing check differs from a pinning check, in that the pressing check uses a path of action, to take advantage of the contour of the opposing surface. But, the terms are often used interchangeably.
A distinct type of check - created by using a contact method of contouring, where by the natural weapon is used to place pressure as it parallels the body surface of an opponent to keep him in check.
