Collapsing Check

An idiom referring to the dropping of an existing check to a new, secondary defensive position.

Comments:

 

A Collapsing Check refers to a part of the body being employed as a check, dropping from one position to another, yet still being used as a check in the new position - for at least two different weapons on the same opponent.

 

A Collapsing Check does not refer to a type of check, but rather, to a maneuver used to create a new check from an existing check.

Example(s):

 

Checking the opponent's arm, but then dropping the check to prevent the opponent from kicking, would demonstrate a Collapsing Check.
