An easy way to understand Point of Cancellation is that it is the prevention of a (potential) offensive maneuver or method from reaching its Point of Completion or ever leaving its Point of Origin.
Point of Cancellation is somewhat generic in that it can refer to blocking and in-flight weapon or checking (e.g. Pressing Check, Pinning Check, Burdening Check, etc.) a potential weapon prior to its use - even if only for a short period of time. Regardless, the Point of Cancellation is when the (potential) weapon is prevented from being immediately successful. |
