Pivot Point differs from Pivoting Axis in that a Pivot Point allows for more versatility in rotation - due to having a smaller fixed point of rotation.

Pivot Point can equally be applied to offensive and defensive maneuvers and methods.

Pivot Points on the human body are the joints of the body. Because of this, it is more common for a Pivot Point to rotate only part of the object (i.e. as in elbow or knee).
