Collapsible Deflection

An idiom referring to the bending of an extremity for the purpose of blocking, parrying, and/or obstructing an oncoming and/or future strike.

Comments:

Collapsible Deflection typically refers to the dropping of one's elbow in order to cover the body area and/or to block an incoming strike.

Collapsible Deflection can be used not only to deflect an oncoming strike, but can also be used to obstruct a potential follow-up strike.

If Collapsible Deflection is used to obstruct any potential strikes, it would be classified as an Area Cover.
