To increase in amount or size. To append to.

2)

A distinct type of increase in count - where the new move(s) is/are executed simultaneous with or infused between the existing motion of a Base Move.

Comments:

Layman's definition for affixing onto a base. As in mental or physical.

 

From a mental aspect, this could be accomplished with:

attention, attitude, concentration, focus, etc.

 

From a physical aspect, this could be accomplished with:

a)alignment, focus, power, settling, speed, body english, etc.

b)insert, suffix, prefix, regulation

c)borrowing, opposing, colliding, etc.

Appending (a) new move(s) to a Base Move by means of prefixing, inserting, or suffixing.

 

In the Formulation Equation the term means exactly the same as it does outside the Formulation Equation.

 

Inserting has the following major purposes:

a.filling of dead space - See Sequential Flow

b.adding of check(s) and/or strike(s)

 

This term is technically more specific than Add, but in normal speech, they are all often used interchangeably.

Mentally:

Focusing on a situation can add to one's ability to react correctly to it.

 

Physically:

Settling into a stance can add to it's stability.

If a move were prefixed, inserted, or suffixed to a base move, one could specify which specific event transpired - or one could simply say that the base move was compounded - or one could simply say that a move was added to the base move.
