Alter

To change in some way or to make different - as in a move, maneuver, or method.

Alter is a generic term which can refer to the mind equally as well as the body, but is most commonly used to refer to the body.

 

In the Formulation Equation this term specifically means:

a.To change the target

b.To change the weapon

c.To change both target and the weapon

 

Outside of Formulation Equation usage this term is generic and can be, and often is, used interchangeably with any other term that means to change.

If one were to change the intended target during the execution of a move, this would demonstrate altering the target.
