Comments:

1)

Prefix is the same as the layman's use of the term and can refer to the mind equally as well as the body, but is most commonly used to refer to the body.

This term is technically more specific than Add, but in normal speech, they are all often used interchangeably.

In the Formulation Equation the term means exactly the same as it does outside the Formulation Equation.

Inserting has the following major purposes:

a.filling of dead space - See Sequential Flow

b.adding of check(s) and/or strike(s)

2)

An insert is typically in incidental maneuver that can be added at a logical location throughout the flow of the Base Move - as either a prefix, insert, or suffix.

Inserts should be added to a Base Move without disrupting the Sequential Flow of the Base Move.

Example(s):

1)

Using Delayed Sword as the Base Move: Adding a Stomp to the opponent's foot while replanting your foot, after the front kick, but before the outward hand-sword, would demonstrate a form of inserting.

2)

Using Delayed Sword as the Base Move: On the Path of Travel to the opponent's grab, changing the Base Move by adding an inward two-finger eye slice, would demonstrate a form of inserting.
