In simple terms, concentration means to cause to increase in some way.
Concentration has both mental and physical aspects.
In mental terms: In general, concentration is the heightening (focusing) of one's attention onto a single thought or situation by purposefully removing, ignoring, or shutting out distracting stimuli and/or thoughts.
Concentration on a situation is typically done to maximize responsiveness to specific outside stimuli.
Concentration on a concept is typically done to: a. further analyze the subject b.bring about new thoughts on the subject c.clarify one's thought on or about the subject
In physical terms: Concentration is the enhancing of a move through the convergence of power to a single point.
Concentration differs from Total Physical Harmony in that concentration can deal with isolated physical motion. |
