Variable Expansion can be thought of as putting one's hard work of learning, understanding, and training into practice.
This term can be thought of as a major goal of the Stages of Internalization concept.
Variable Expansion differs from Diversified Extension in that this term is more general in nature, referring to both physical and conceptual expansion; and Variable Expansion is frequently thought of as the implementation of the Diversified Extension paradigm. But the terms can be used interchangeably in specific contexts.
Variable Expansion is directly associated with the Formulation Equation in that they are often used interchangeably with each other when it comes to physical manifestation.
Although Variable Expansion can be implemented from any given Base Move (be it singular or multiple), it is most commonly demonstrated and implemented from a Self-Defense Technique.
In this context, the word expansion mostly means adding to (add), but usually does not refer to modifying (alter, adjust, regulate, rearrange) or removal (delete).
Variable Expansion can refer to exploration of possibilities and options, but it is most often associated with the relatively spontaneous implementation of said options.
Variable Expansion is commonly enacted using Standard Extensions, but the use of Standard Extensions is just one example of its implementation. |
