Standard Extension

An idiom referring to a predefined set of maneuvers and methods that can be prefixed, inserted, grafted, spliced, suffixed or otherwise used to extend a Base Move.

Comments:

Basically, a Standard Extension is a sequence that can be applied to a Base Move through Position Recognition.

A Standard Extension can also be used to extend a Base Move through the use of Transitional Moves, if not in the proper position to immediately apply the Standard Extension.

Standard Extensions are commonly used in the context of Self-Defense Techniques.

Standard Extension differs from Self-Defense Technique Extension in that a Standard Extension can be applied to any number of Self-Defense Techniques at varying points in their execution.
