An analogy describing the relating seemingly dissimilar moves, by drawing a correlation to a similar Point of Origin, Point of Reference, context, circumstance, and/or framework. |

This analogy lays out a way of relating motion using the sequence as a family members as such: main maneuver (usually defensive) = mother secondary maneuver (usually offensive and usually with the opposite limb) = father follow-up maneuvers = first cousin / second cousin / etc.
