In other words, Category Completion is a way of logically grouping together the information about something, such that nothing related to that unit of information is omitted or forgotten.
When completing a category about a subject, it is often common to find sub-categories of information about the same subject. In order to fully complete the category, it is necessary to complete any and all sub-categories that may arise during analysis.
Category Completion of motion, does not mean to imply that all possible motion is effective. In such cases where ineffective physical motion is determined to be part of a category, that motion is purposefully omitted from the category.
A practitioner should not only be aware of effective physical motion, but also the opposite - be aware of ineffective motion. See Purposeful Omission for more information on this subject.
One common reason for practicing Category Completion analysis is to find opposites and reverses of motion. |

If one were to compile a list of all the ways one could generate power, one would end up with the following completed category: a.Torque
Note that there are really only two (2) ways to generate power - linear and circular. But, since there are three (3) dimensions, the second category is broken down into a sub-category of horizontal and vertical linear motion. |
