Family Related Moves

 

An idiom that referring to maneuvers or methods that are very similar (or the same) in physical nature but can be used as the same answer to varying scenarios.

 

Comments:

 

This term differs from Family Grouping in that it is only associated with a single maneuver or method.

 

Example(s):

 

The same response can be used for both a single and double hand grab to the lapel - as in Lone Kimono and Twin Kimono.

 

The most common example would probably be that the inward block can be used against a (right or left) punch, push, attempted grab, poke, etc.
