Rake

 

A distinct type of Applied maneuver which is physically distinguishable by using contact with the knuckles of the hand - while multiple contact points maintain a relatively in-line Path of Execution across the target surface, hitting sequentially to the same relative contact point.

 

Comments:

 

Rakes differ from claws, in that rakes are typically a circular strike.

 

Rakes differ from pokes in that a rake's Path of Execution and Angle of Contact are relatively parallel to the target surface.

 

Rakes differ from slices in that a rake's Path of Execution follows the length of the employed weapon.

 

Rakes are generally executed such that the fingers are delivered in an in-line fashion, rather than in parallel.

 

Rakes require at least a Surface Contact range of depth.

 

Rakes can cause ripping, tearing, gouging, scratching, etc. the target

 

Rakes are not confined to just using the finger tip(s) of the hand.

 

Rakes employ a raking Method of Execution.
