Whip


A somewhat generic form of striking which is physically distinguishable by utilizing only the tip(s) of the weapon with the Return Motion of the maneuver faster than the delivery portion.

 

Comments:

 

Whips differ from pokes in that the Return Motion of the whip is used to generate the injury of the target just as much as the extension of the weapon.

 

Whips are most commonly correlated with Finger Techniques, but are not limited to this specific category maneuvers.

 

Finger tip whips can easily be sophisticated into a slice.

 

Whips are effected using a whipping Method of Execution.

 

A subset of this maneuver type is include as part of the standard basics curriculum and are included in the Whip Finger Techniques section.
