Poke

A somewhat generic form of striking which is physically distinguishable by utilizing only the tip(s) of the weapon - while the contact point(s) maintain(s) a relatively perpendicular Line of Entry in relation to the target surface.

Comments:

Pokes differ from whips in that the extension of the poke generates the injury to the target - not the Return Motion.

Pokes are most commonly correlated with Finger Techniques, but are not limited to this specific category maneuvers.

Pokes are most typically effected using a thrusting Method of Execution, but by definition, are not limited to this specific Method of Execution.
