Position Recognition can be thought of as reading a given situation and applying an appropriate physical response based upon experience.
Position recognition is used to expand choices of action for given situations, with the ultimate goal of fostering the ability to spontaneously choose the best course of action from a vast list of reactive choices, to any given situation.
Position Recognition differs from Strategic Recognition in that Position Recognition is based around application of specific physical reactions and not a general strategic implementation. Although at times, the resulting physical application may be the same.
The most common ways Position Recognition is implemented is via Standard Extensions, grafting and splicing of maneuvers and methods - sometimes from Self-Defense Techniques, although this is not a requirement.
Position Recognition differs from Formulation Equation in that the Formulation Equation is used to compose the physical manifestations from the recognized position. |
