Purposeful

An idiom referring to the willing enactment of any maneuver or method.

2)

Intentional. Done with premeditated design.

This is typically used as a prefix for describing an intentional maneuver in reaction to any given aggressive situation.

or

b) a maneuver is done because the practitioner was compelled to execute the maneuver (i.e. had to)

 

This definition directly relates to the alternate defining - the practitioner wanted to execute the maneuver.
