A category of stance which is physically distinguishable by a 50%-50% weight distribution, a Heel-Toe Alignment of width, a depth alignment approximately half of Neutral Bow stance, one foot turned relatively parallel to Point of Reference, and the other foot is positioned on the ball of the foot and perpendicular to the Point of Reference - eyes directed toward the Point of Reference. |

It is common for the rotation of the "twisted" foot of the twist stance to range from a 45 degree angle to a 90 degree angle to the Point of Reference.
Twist stances are typically transitory.
Twist stances should not be confused with the twist foot maneuvers, which is a maneuver that utilizes the twist stance as part of its execution. This is also true for the cross over foot maneuvers. |
