Inhaling is done through the loosening and expanding of muscles in the body.
Because muscles loosen during an inhale, Internal Systems tend to emphasize this part of the breathing process.
The major detraction to inhaling is that the body, since it is relaxed, is vulnerable and more prone to damage from attacks.
Inhaling tends to exploit these benefits of the breathing process: a.buoyancy of one's stance b.timing between Maneuvers c.relaxation of the body d.maintaining focus of the mind
Inhaling should be done: a.between Maneuvers b.when not anticipating a strike from an opponent c.while Covering Out
On an inhale, one typically maintains the inhale in order to continue to stay relaxed, or at the transition point in order to stop breathing for a longer period of time.
