Float


An idiom describing a general method of raising in one's stance which is physically distinguishable by rising to the point of almost flying.

Float is a degree of flying.

 

Float is related to buoyancy in that they both rise in stance.

 

Floats are often executed by rising onto the balls of the feet to enhance both upward and downward momentum, but that is not a requirement.

 

Floating is commonly enacted with Foot Maneuvers, but that is not a requirement.

 

Float is usually done to enhance downward Body Momentum, after the float, but that is not a requirement.

 

Floating can be done in any relatively vertically upward direction and is not limited to directly upward.
