Choking is a generic term that does not describe a particular method of disruption on the opponent. Rather, it describes the result of utilizing one of the Vise-like methods employed for a specific purpose.
A Choke can be created by using any of the Vise-like methods with any Environmental Weapon(s).
Chokes are extremely dangerous and can easily lead to death.
The most common method to apply a choke on an opponent is with the arms and/or hands to the windpipe or neck, but this is not a requirement.
Before a neck choke is applied, it can sometimes be nullified by dropping the chin against the upper part of the chest, in order to protect the neck area.
From an offensive perspective, one (1) major detraction of choking is that it can dedicate at one (1) or more limbs to the application of the maneuver, thus removing the limb from immediate use (Dead).
Choke differs from Pinch in that Pinches do not require an intent to cut-off breath or blood flow. |
