Without proper balance, defensive and/or offensive weapons are rendered less effective and/or useless.

 

Mentally

Balance is obtained through experience, training, concentration, and attitude.

Without proper balance, the practitioner leaves areas of exploitation on which a savvy and astute opponent will capitalize.
