An idiom describing having sustained contact with an Environmental Object for any particular purpose.

 

Comments:

 

Applied refers to a maneuver after it has made contact with its intended target; whether for its primary or for a secondary purpose.

 

This term is closely associated with terms intent (minor / major) to classify an offensive or defensive maneuver more precisely.
