Upward Elbow (Block)

A specific type of Striking elbow block which is physically distinguishable by the upward direction (in relation to the practitioner) of its movement in order to effect the block.

Comments:

The easiest way to visualize this block (using the front arm) is that it is a direct rising of the elbow, starting from a standard neutral bow stance with hands up.

Like its forearm counterpart, the upward block, this block travels from a lower to higher point; but unlike its counterpart, it stays on the same side of the body.

Due to it being a short range maneuver, this block does not extend fully to the top of the outer rim.
