A specific category of Striking block which is physically distinguishable by part of the body used, the elbow, to effect the block.

Comments:

Although nearly any part of the body can be used to effect a block, the elbow blocks are illustrated because they were included in the original written curriculum.

By definition, elbow blocks are short range.
