A specific category of Striking block which is physically distinguishable by the inward direction (in relation to the practitioner) of its movement in order to effect the block.

Inward blocks travel from the same side to the opposite side of the body (inward) - as the blocking arm.
Inward blocks can employ either a hammering or thrusting method of execution - depending upon the point of origin of the block (i.e. high or low).
The word inward, in this case, is equivalent to inside. |
