Outward Elbow (Block)

A specific type of Striking elbow block which is physically distinguishable by the outward (and upward) direction (in relation to the practitioner) of its movement in order to effect the block.

Comments:

Like its forearm counterpart, the outward block, this block travels from the opposite side to the same side of the body (outward); and from a lower to a higher point (thrusting).

Since this block travels from the opposite side of the body to the same side of the body, it first must be cocked before execution from a standard training stance.

The word outward, in this case, is equivalent to outside.
