Windshield Wiper

An idiom describing a move that employs pivoting while using a path of action to accomplish its intended goal.

Comments:

This move is commonly initiated from the ending point of a preceding move - see example.

This move is very similar to the Squeegee Principle, but has a pivot point.

Torque is the primary Power Principle employed by this type of move.

Although at first not obvious, any circular Method of Execution can be achieved by this type of move.

Example(s):

If one were to deliver a heel-palm strike to the chin of an opponent, a five-finger rake could easily and precisely be initiated by using the contour of the chin as the pivoting axis - resulting in a windshield wiper effect.

Derivation:

This term is derived from the obvious physical similarity to the action of a windshield wiper on a car.
