Inward

A direction toward the interior in relation to a particular point.

Comments:

 

In American Kenpo, intward is the direction in relation to the vertical centerline of the body being on the opposite side of the executing limb. In some martial arts, this is the opposite, where intward means to the same side of the front vertical centerline. In American Kenpo, this alternate direction would be called outward.

 

Most commonly, this term is used in relation to the dimension of width.
