Force Field

An idiom referring to the purposeful maintained confinement of maneuvers and methods close to the body.

Comments:

Force Field is a specific strategy employed in an effort to add bracing and strength to maneuvers and methods.

Force Field differs from Anchored Elbow in that it can be thought of as an exaggerated version that concept.

Force Field is often used in a teaching environment as a reminder that overreaching can create problems that can be avoided by keeping the extremities close, and that closer weapons have the ability to be stronger weapons.
