Mumble

An idiom describing a series of maneuvers that are inarticulate and imperfect to the extent that the individual motions begin to run together and become indistinguishable from one another.

Inflected Forms(s):

Mumbling (adjective), Mumbles (plural), Mumbled (past tense)

Comments:

Mumbling is something that should be avoided - not a goal.

Mumbling often occurs when the series is executed beyond the speed at which the maneuvers can be executed correctly.

This term is closely associated with the saying: "maneuvers should only be executed as fast as they can be executed correctly."

Mumble differs from Scribble in that mumbling is more often not a conscious decision and is rather a result of carelessness and/or a lack of awareness.
