A distinct type of Applied maneuver which is physically distinguishable by using contact with the fingers of the hand - while the contact points maintain a relatively parallel, and side-by-side Path of Execution across the target surface. |

Claws differ from rakes, in that claws are typically a linear strike.
Claws differ from pokes in that a claw's Path of Execution and Angle of Contact are relatively parallel to the target surface.
Claws differ from slices in that a claw's Path of Execution follows the length of the employed weapon.
Claws are generally executed such that the fingers are delivered in a parallel fashion, rather than in a series.
Claws require at least a Surface Contact range of depth.
Claws flow naturally from Heel-Palm strikes and vice-versa.
Claws can cause ripping, tearing, gouging, or scratching the target
Claws utilize the finger tip(s) and should not employ the fingernails. The fingernails can easily be caught in the target surface substrate and can be damaged, broken, or pulled off of the finger.
Claws employ a clawing Method of Execution.
