Rip

 

A distinct type of Applied maneuver which is physically distinguishable by using contact to create a laceration or to make come apart through pulling and/or (optionally) pushing.

 

Comments:

 

Rip and Tear are often used interchangeably.

 

Rip differs from Tear in that rips are often more closely associated with claws, slices, and rakes - and also with rough or vigorous activity.

 

Rips are most closely associated with damage created by claws, slices, rakes, and/or pulls (utilizing Opposing Forces). And, to a lesser degree by pokes and/or gouges,.
