Angular Attack

An idiom referring to offensive moves not directed toward an opponent's Point of Reference and/or defenses - i.e. angular.

Comments:

Angular Attack differs from Angle of Attack, in that Angle of Attack can refer to any angle, whether angular or not.

This term refers to offensive moves that tend to be more deceptive in nature and attempt to bypass the opponent's defenses by not attacking directly at them.

See Angle of Attack for more detailed information on this subject in general.

Good examples of Angular Attacks are ones that use Contouring, Complementary Angles, or Obscure Zones.
