A specific type of Bow and Arrow stance which is physically distinguishable by a 60%-40% weight distribution, Toe-Heel Alignment of width, Heel-Knee Alignment of depth, rear knee extended relatively straight and front knee comfortably bent as a general alignment of height; the rotational alignment of the body parallel to the Point of Reference, front foot on a forward, 45 degree angle to the Point of Reference, and the rear foot perpendicular to the Point of Reference. |

This stance is considered to be American Kenpo's standard pushing stance.
Some of the primary purposes of this stance are: a)bracing from a forward pressure b)extending the forward reach of the rear hand c)creating a brace angle for forward pressure with either (or both) hand(s)

This stance derives its name from the fact that it moves both the weight and alignment of the body to a more forward position than the standard neutral bow stance. |
