Brace Angle

An idiom describing the creation of a strengthened structure, ready for impact, shock, etc..., through the use of diagonal supports.

Comments:

 

A Brace Angle works by diverting oncoming forces to a supporting base (typically the ground).

 

A Brace Angle is typically created to strengthen a (generally) Vertical Plane against (generally) horizontal forces, diagonally downward toward a Horizontal Plane(a base).

 

The most common way to create a Brace Angle is through the creation of a Forward Bow.

 

A Brace Angle can be created by any combination of Environmental Objects on any angle in the environment.

 

The creation of Bracing Angles are extremely important to maintain the integrity and stability of one's base - especially when dealing with large or potentially overwhelming forces.

Example(s):

 

Diagonally positioning a chair such that the top of a chair is under a door knob and the legs of the chair are pressing against the ground in order to keep a door shut, demonstrates the creation of a Brace Angle.
