Fighting Horse (Stance)

A specific type of horse stance which is physically distinguishable by having the arms raised into a defensive position with the attention and Point of Reference typically directed to the flank.

Comments:

This stance is considered the combat version of the horse stance.

This stance is not commonly used, but is used relatively often when extended reach and/or specific alignments are required to be effective. By extended reach, it is meant that the reach of this stance is further than that of the neutral bow stance.

This stance is not part of original written curriculum - but is commonly used in application.

Derivation:

This stance derives its name from the fact that it is combat (or fighting) version of the horse stances.
