Trailing Weapon

The weapon that is furthest from the point of reference.

Comments:

Trailing can refer to any weapon, but is most often associated with a hand or foot.

The Trailing Weapon is furthest from the reference point and therefore is the one most likely to be the backup in any offensive and/or defensive maneuver and/or method, but this is not a requirement.

The Trailing Weapon is commonly the major weapon (e.g. the right hand/foot), with the Lead Weapon being the minor weapon (e.g. the left hand/foot).

The Trailing Weapon is most commonly the Gauge Weapon for the lower extremities, but the Lead Weapon when referring to the upper extremities.

Due to specific rotations of stances, there is not always a Trailing Weapon. In those cases, Availability of Weapon and specific strategy usually determine the Trailing Weapon.
