Track

A distinct type of contouring - employed on a line of action, which maintains contact along the entire length of the guiding surface, typically, with one end of the guiding surface already being located at the intended target area - prior to the move.

Inflected Form(s):

Tracking (adjective), Tracks (plural), Tracked (past tense)

Comments:

As an example, if you had previously executed a right two-finger poke to your opponent's left eye, you can leave the weapon on the target, such that your left hand can follow the contour of your right arm to more accurately deliver a follow-up two-finger poke the same eye.

If the timing is precise, the follow-up strike can be delivered such that it is obscured by the first strike.

Technically, tracking differs slightly from guidelining, in that tracking follows a line of action. But, the terms are often used interchangeably.
