Comments:

A guideline can be achieved with any type of Environmental Object, but most commonly refers to the use of the extremities of the body.

Guidelining differs from threading in that threading requires using a bend (e.g. joint) of the guiding Environmental Object.

Guidelining differs from weaving in that weaving specifically requires intertwining.

Guidelining from tracking in that a guideline uses a path (e.g. the length of a weapon) instead of a line (e.g. the tip of a weapon) for its Path of Travel.  But, the terms are often used interchangeably.
