The Three Phase paradigm is broken down into distinct phases: 1.The Ideal Phase 2.The What-if Phase 3.The Formulation Phase
Each of these phases are designed to allow the practitioner to learn, practice, examine, and experiment with the Base Move of the Self-Defense Technique in such a way as to fully understand not only its motion, but motion in general.
From one perspective the phases can be broken down into two (2) categories: Ideal and Real Deal; where Ideal is just that an ideal scenario and the Real Deal Phase being comprised of both the What-if Phase and the Formulation Phase. This is to denote that these phases should view the Base Move of the Self-Defense Technique as merely a suggested starting point in which to explore and formulate one's own reading and modifications to this base, depending upon various scenario changes. |
